The one-piece alloy construction is sturdy. The fat tire gives you traction on loose ground. It's not a complete bike, so you need to know what you're doing. If you're not comfortable with wiring and torque arms, this isn't for you.
At ~$350, it's a bargain compared to buying a complete e-bike. But it's a project, not a solution.
Jetson Bolt
This is a toy. I'm not going to sugarcoat it. At ~$300, it's cheap, it folds, and it's fine for a kid or short errands. But I wouldn't commute on it.
The battery is small, the motor is weak, and the build quality is what you'd expect at this price. One buyer said it's "impressive looking," and I agree. It looks cool. But looks don't stop you at 28 mph.
If you're an adult looking for a real e-bike, skip this. If you're buying for a teenager who wants to zip around the neighborhood, it's fine.
STACYC 12eDRIVE
This is the best first bike for a 3-5 year old. It teaches balance without the training wheels nonsense. My friend's kid has one and he's already dropping it without a scratch.
It's an electric balance bike, so there's no pedals. The kid learns to balance first, then transitions to a real bike. At ~$600, it's not cheap, but it's cheaper than a dirt bike and safer.
Don't ride this thing with a glorified bike helmet. Get proper gear. But for the little ones, this is the way to start.
The Bottom Line
The PUJH 6000W is the best all-around beast I've tested. It hits advertised speeds, the customer service is real, and it's worth the premium price. Just buy a second battery if you want range at speed.
The TACTIEN is the best value for a dirt bike, but plan on maintenance. The folding e-bike is fine for flat commutes. And the Jetson is a toy.
Check your local ordinances before you buy. I got a bike impounded once because I didn't. Don't be me.
